This handy dialog is accessed by right-clicking a section in the Sections page of a cabinet property sheet, and selecting "Add Shelves" or "Add Partitions". It allows you to quickly sub-divide a section with horizontal or vertical panels.
The Available Volume information at the top of the dialog is a summary of the section dimensions, which can help when determining how many divisions to make and how thick to make them.
From the next option, select whether you wish to add a set of shelves or partitions. They are treated in practically the same way except shelves are horizontal and partitions are vertical dividers. Enter the thickness of each panel as well as how many to add.
The Thickness edit box can take a literal value or a formula in case you want to adjust the thickness later.
The Within box shows what section these new panels will be created in.
The next three boxes are used to enter any face recesses for the panels. The Clearance box refers to the ends of the panel, which is the left and right faces for shelves and the top and bottom faces for partitions. The clearance is added to both faces, so the total clearance will end up as double the value you enter. All three recesses can either be length values or formula-controlled.
The final controls on this dialog allow you to import a section from another library into the panel sections. They work in the same way as those on the Section Imports page.
Once you have filled out all the relevant details, clicking the OK button will create the sections for the requested panels automatically. The recess and thickness values will be entered in the appropriate locations, and the required sections will be imported.
