CabMasterPro User Guide
With Version 12 of CabMaster we are able to provide a new 64-bit application which can use up to 16 billion GB of memory. This provides an incredible amount of memory space and helps stabilise and optimise how CabMaster Software runs on your system. To take advantage of this advancement a cloud license is required.
A Cloud2 Licence will have a six digit ID Number, typically beginning with 9 and is displayed on the splash screen when starting CabMaster.
The Activation Code will be a series of numbers and letters, similar to the following (this is not a real activation code):

What is a Cloud1 License?
Previously, licenses went through a third party server in Belgium and were very sensitive to bad internet connections and licenses were prone to getting stuck.
With both the Cloud1 licenses and USB Hardware licenses, the ID Number starts with ^800*** and have a long activation code.
To provide better service, both these are slowly being phased out. For more on the pros/cons of a USB Hardware setup, see below.
Licences are directly controlled by CabMaster and are much less sensitive to bad internet connections and can survive for up to 7 days if the internet disconnects.
- A cloud license cannot be damaged or broken.
- Your cloud license can't accidentally be put in the washing machine because it was still in the back pocket of your pants.
- Better program stability.
- Only our cloud licenses can run CabMaster Software as a 64-bit application.
- Superior theft protection.
- If your computer is stolen, we can get you running again same day and minimise your loss of production.
- No more problems with forgetting to take your license home.
- Our optional short timeout feature allows for your cloud license to automatically de-register from your work computer so you can continue working from home.
- Requires internet access minimum once every 7 days.
- With our long time out feature, you will still need an internet connection once every 7 days to reconnect to our licensing server.
You will have the option to enable "short" (30 minute) checks which ensures that after this short delay you can forcibly reassigned your license to a different PC. Useful if you want to work on a different PC e.g. at home instead of the work office. Or a "long" (7 days) delay. This means that you will only have to be connected to the internet once every 7 days, allowing you to work offline in between times. (Useful if you have a poor or intermittent internet connection).
- Don't need internet access - our USB hardware licenses work without an internet connection.
- Cannot run 64-bit architecture.
- USB hardware licenses do not have 64-bit capabilities and therefore can only run the 32-bit of all future versions.
- Easily lost, broken or stolen
- It is much easier to damage your CabMaster license if you have a physical USB hardware license.
- Need insurance cover
- Either CabMaster's Lock Protection or your own insurance is required to cover your business for loss, theft or damage to your USB hardware license.
Simply contact your dealer, who will provide you with your cloud license codes.

Once your cloud license is running, you must return your USB hardware license to the CabMaster head office via registered post in a padded bag.
(PLEASE NOTE: If your USB hardware license is not returned, you will be liable for the cost of the additional license).
