    Camera Management  Camera Management

    Camera view items allow you to store multiple camera view positions and allow you to easily place 3D views onto a Plan View page. These camera view items also dynamically update when the drawing changes. This is automatically populated as you create camera views.

    We can also switch rapidly between a number of "good" views.

    Previous and Next View  Change Camera

    You can switch between camera view items by using the left and right buttons or selecting them from the Camera Management drop list, discussed above.

    Place Camera View  Camera View

    You can place as many camera views directly on your plan as you want.

    1. First, you need to go to the 3D Display tab, and define the camera view by using the Add Camera command button;
    2. Then, return to the Camera tab and use the Camera Management drop list to select a defined camera view;
    3. Finally, use the Place Camera command button which allows you to click on the drawing page to place;
      • You can then drag the camera view item to the desired size.

    Camera Visibilities

    These checkboxes turn the info about the camera focus, viewpoint (eye) and any clipping planes, front and back, on and off in plan view.

    Cameras Vis1

    If you select a viewpoint and zoom/pan/rotate in the 3D view and then go back into plan view, you can check and uncheck these checkboxes and see what each one does.

    Imagine the view line as being the line from the eye (viewpoint) to the focus, then allow a 'horizontal' spread angle across and a (near) vertical spread up and down (but perpendicular to the view line), then that creates a truncated 3D pyramid.

    Looking at the edge lines of that pyramid from above gives the lines you see when you turn on all three (3) checkboxes.
